After 6 years of hard work and dedication, Ardastra says goodbye to Robyn Howard, the previous director of the zoo. Robyn is returning to the United States to continue on her career as an exotic animal curator. She put Ardastra on the right track and secured successful flamingo breeding every year she was here. She will be majorly missed by the animals, staff and the many friends she has left behind.

In her stead will be Nick Atchinson. Nick is Australian born and worked several zoos in his homeland including Taronga zoo (Sydney), Werribee zoo (Melbourne) and Territory wildlife park (Darwin) and then moved to the Caribbean and worked in St. Maarten park before coming to Nassau. We are confident that Nick will continue Robyn's vision for Ardastra Gardens.
